   The origins of Valentine's Day are uncertain. Many experts believe that it originated with Lupercalia, a Roman celebration honoring the wolves Romulus and Remus. During this festival, young men struck women with a goatskin hide called a februa. Receiving the blows was thought to make women more fertile and to ease childbirth. At Lupercalia, the names of all the young women in the city were placed in a box. Young men drew a name from the box and the couple would be paired until the next Lupercalia.
2. Brooke Valentine
   Brooke Valentine (born October 5, 1984 in Houston, Texas), is an American R&B singer-songwriter. She started her musical career as a member of the female group Best Kept Secret. To pursue a solo career, she moved to Los Angeles, California and signed to Subliminal Entertainment/Virgin Records. She released her debut album Chain Letter in March of 2005. It sold 340,000 copies in the US. The album features her hit debut single, "Girlfight" released late 2004, in a collaboration with rappers Big Boi and Lil Jon, a song about tension between two girls which ends up in a catfight.

Look for a play or musical that has a weddings or love theme. The stage manager should be able to assist you in planning something theatrical and memorable. Don't forget to buy tickets early as Valentine's Day is a popular evening. A variant on this is to buy an ad at your movie theater that will show before the previews begin.

   The Valentine's Day radio advertising campaign this year ran in more than 110 cities in all 50 states including Alaska and Hawaii. Each ad offered the convenience of both a toll free number and the popular website address for people to place orders. Radio and the internet continue to be very effective and complementary channels to reach the company's customer who tends to be a last minute shopper. Over 35% of Valentine's Day orders were placed online.
