Usps: Postage
built 638 days ago
The USPS has certified the Conformer solution for processing at the automated flat rate. Because the mailers work with USPS machines, they cost significantly less than the parcel and NFM options. Shipping a five-ounce CD or DVD at standard mail rates costs $1.14 as a parcel and $1.11 in the NFM category. By contrast, the new Conformer mailer ships as a true flat at only $0.56, slashing postage rates in half.

Merchants can create USPS Shipping Labels directly through Nexternal's web-based order management system. Should a merchant opt to use Endicia, these labels can ... have postage. This greatly reduces order fulfillment time since shipping labels are printed right from the screen an ink or laser jet printer and tracking numbers are provided to customers automatically via email. Fulfillment becomes efficient and errors become a thing of the past. Using USPS Track & Confirm, both merchant and customer can follow a package from the shipping dock all the way to the recipient's doorstep.

Just like with stamps and meters, your account with the USPS must be pre-paid to use Internet Postage. DAZzle lets you purchase postage in increments of $10, $25, $50, $100, $200, or $500. You can use your checking account or a credit card: American Express, Visa, Mastercard, Discover, Diners Club, or Carte Blanche.

You can change the 3.85 to 4.05 in the field for base rate and likewise for the Cost per pound to match whatever is the current usps rate. Go by what usps has posted (which is 4.05 base) - since the postage rate change a few months ago, these probably haven't been updated by Volusion.
