Usenet is a network of computers connected together. This network of computers allows millions of users to talk to each other, and to post and download attachments. Usenet is older than the world wide web and is still the biggest and the best method of P2P file sharing.

Usenet is not a right. Some people misunderstand their local right of "freedom of speech" to mean that they have a legal right to use others' computers to say what they wish in whatever way they wish, and the owners of said computers have no right to stop them.
