Ursula Andress: Ress
built 633 days ago
Heading deep into the heart of the South American jungle, Susan Stevenson (Ursula Andress) attempts to find her missing husband, and shed most of her clothes in the process! Dr. Edward Foster (Stacy Keach) accompanies on her quest, but the trip turns out to be more hazardous than they first anticipated when they encounter some particularly restless natives. It all adds up to an action-packed feature that shows of many of Andress's charms and natural on-screen charisma.

Ursula Andress Ursula was born in Berne, Switzerland, on March19th, 1936. So she recently turned71 and can now benefit from reduction prices to any theater showing her movies. She has six siblings. Her wandering spirit came alive very quickly and at the tender age of17, she went AWOL with a French actor, who took her to Rome. Her parents, fully Protestants and of Germanic origin, called Interpol to the rescue! But when sanity finally prevailed, Ursula's movie career began in the prestigious Cinecitta studios, as an extra for some minor films, mainly light comedies on the saucy side.

Although Ursula was offered a large number of film projects in the mid 1960s, she chose her movies carelessly, apparently more interested in the location than the screenplay, possibly with a view to tax avoidance. She admitted in one interview that Terence Young, her "Dr. No" director, was constantly telephoning her with film offers. The result was movies that pleased very few people and which today are mainly forgotten.
Arguably the most difficult yet glamorous of the Cremaster series, Cremaster 5 features Ursula Andress, resplendent as the Queen of Chain, in a haunting portrayal of love and despair. Though the third of the cycle to be produced, this is the last film in the Cremaster suite, and as such, its lyrical finale and Barney's swansong.
