The people of the United States are the only ones with a chance of stopping him, and it can only happen if a powerful majority of voters will join in a maximum effort to impeach both Bush and Cheney right now. This has to happen before the U.S. and/or Israel undertake any expanded military efforts against Iran.

The data were reported as part of an annual survey on sexual abuse released Thursday by the United States Conference of Catholic Bishops. The survey showed that U.S. dioceses reported 783 credible allegations of sexual abuse against children last year, a 28 percent decline from the year before, according to the survey, compiled by a department at Georgetown University, the Center for Applied Research in the Apostolate.

Salmonellosis, the illness caused by ingestion of Salmonella, is the second most common foodborne illness after Campylobacter infection. It is estimated that 1.4 million cases of Salmonellosis occur each year in the U.S.; 95% of those cases are food-related. Approximately 220 of each 1000 cases result in hospitalization and eight of every 1000 cases result in death. China signed an agreement Tuesday to prohibit the use of lead paint on toys exported to the United States. The signed agreement which was unveiled during the second joint U.S-China summit on consumer product safety came in the wake of the recalls of millions of playthings decorated with paint containing the toxic metal.
