ClipMate has a Unicode-To-Ansi function which will create an Ansi Text version of a clip based on its Unicode component, providing that you captured the clip with Unicode, which is controlled by the Application Profile. There are two ways to do this:

Insert any character known to humanity in your Unicode text files. You can restrict EditPad’s character to certain classes of characters, such as lowercase letters, so you’ll find the character you want much quicker.

FriBidi is Dov Grobgeld’s free implementation of the Unicode bidi algorithm. Arabjoin is Roman Czyborra’s little Perl tool that takes Arabic UTF-8 text (encoded in the U+06xx Arabic block in logical order) as input, performs Arabic glyph joining, and outputs a UTF-8 octet stream that is arranged in visual order.
