The Undertaker was originally designed by Warren Duncan as a New Brunswick Atlantic Salmon Fly. It is ... a proven Steelhead pattern that is fished on many waters. The hairwing design provides a nice profile and helps the fly to swing well. The color combination of chartreuse and hot orange within the body of the pattern, add a just a touch of "turn-on" colors that can put the bite on sluggish fish. Fished on the swing, takes are often agressive and will not be missed.

The Barbers Shop, Apothecary and Undertaker were typical of the businesses of many traders in the mining areas. They sprang up to fill a need in wealthy communities. People sold meat, vegetables, water, mining supplies and other commodities out of the back of a wagon. Some very large trading companies (e.g. Myers) had their origins in the gold rush.
