Ultima Online has been the butt of many jokes due to the fact that you can so easily get killed by rabbits. People have begun nicknaming it "Holy Grail Online", in reference to the comedy movie Monty Python and the Holy Grail, where there is a killer rabbit.

Ultima Online: Third Dawn (March 7, 2001) included a 3D client to compete with 3D competition like EverQuest. Also, a special Third Dawn only land was created, called Ilshenar. It was accessible only to 3D clients until the release of Lord Blackthorn's Revenge.

The Ultima Dragons are a large virtual club founded in 1992 on Prodigy who have since moved to the Internet due to Prodigy's outrageous rate structure. The club is dedicated to helping others with their Ultima questions, discussing Ultima, and, most obviously, sharing information and creative exploits.

Ultima Online seems to be a game that will evolve over time, as long as player and company interest runs high.
