The Ultima games were ... famous for the trinkets included in the game boxes. From Ultima II on, every main Ultima game came with a cloth map of the game world. Starting with Ultima IV, small trinkets like pendants, coins and magic stones were found in the boxes. Made of metal or glass, they usually represented an important object also found within the game itself. Originated in Infocom games, these trinkets were called "feelies".

Warriors of Destiny was the last Ultima developed on the Apple II; the limits of that system were increasingly becoming a hindrance to further technological advance, and ... all later games were developed on PC systems. This was also the last time in which Ultima creator Richard Garriott did a major share of the actual coding; in the later parts he acted as a game designer only.

Ultima's offensive power is dependant on its current level, as well as the current level of all the other spells the caster has. The Spirit stat ... enhances its effectiveness, as Ultima is considered White Magic in Final Fantasy II, contrary to most other Final Fantasy games where it's considered Black Magic.

This is a patch which fixes the maps in Ultima II. Many of the cities and worlds on the non-earth planets use the Earth maps. If you want to play Ultima II the way it was originally, apply this patch by Moonstone Dragon.
