RHYME is often used at the end of the lines in a poem, although many types of poems don't rhyme at all. Rhyme helps to produce music in a poem which is why most songs rhyme. There are many rhymes in nursery rhymes. Young children enjoy reading and writing rhymes.

Review with the students the types of clouds you have been studying. Then pick out books that talk about different types of clouds and weather patterns. Talk with the students about how sailors might have used the clouds to help them in their travels.

There were many different types of poems written after the war. Some poems memorialized fallen heroes; some Southern poems expressed continued defiance towards the North despite losing the war; and some Northern poems depicted the South as an evil overcome by the forces of good. For the most part, though, poems written by the North and South weren't hostile to the other side.
