Twiggy Lawson (born Leslie Hornby on September 19, 1949, in Neasden, England) is a English actress and fashion model. Her nickname Twiggy came from her slim figure in the 1960s, when she first became famous.
Twiggy married the American actor Michael Witney in 1977. They had one daughter, Carly, born in 1978. That marriage ended with his sudden death in 1983 from a heart attack. She met Leigh Lawson on the film Madame Sousatzka, and married him in 1988. They reside in London.
In 1971 Twiggy gave up the modeling career. Her primary role as a fashion symbol used by the marketeers of youth was over. She and the industry she represented had made a lot of money. She is today known as Twiggy Lawson and she has pursued work in the acting field. She appeared in several films including The Boyfriend and Club Paradise.

Twiggy continued to act in film and TV in the U.S. and U.K. with parts in "The Doctor and the Devils", "Club Paradise", "The Blues Brothers", "The Little Match Girl", and "Young Charlie Chaplin" to name but a few. In 1988 Twiggy married British Actor/Director Leigh Lawson who starred with her and Shirley MacLaine in "Madame Sousatzka" directed by John Schlesinger.
