One player in this drama who is not speaking out is Tupac himself. Rumors insist that Tupac will be headlining shows in Chicago, Milwaukee and Indianapolis in the next few weeks. Shakur can ... be seen starring in the new thriller Streets on Fire with Keanu Reeves this summer and will allegedly host Saturday Night Live in October of this year.

As a child, Tupac had dreamed of becoming a Shakespearean actor. Though he never achieved this, he did become a respected actor, drawing from his theatre roots. He starred in Juice in 1991 to critical acclaim, hailed by Rolling Stone's Peter Travers as "The film's most magnetic figure." He went on to star in Poetic Justice, Above the Rim, Gridlock'd, Bullet, and Gang Related.

Because of creative differences and attitude contradictions, Tupac got booted from Allen and Albert Hughes's Menace II Society and then Singleton's Higher Learning. Burning bridges all over Hollywood's colored section, Tupac ended up in Above the Rim (1994), playing a murderous gangsta basketball scout. In the film, Tupac's bandannas coordinate with his every outfit, neatly folded and painstakingly pressed. He's like Doris Day at the beginning of 1959's Pillow Talk, perfectly dressed and bonneted and ready to rumble.

It becomes blatantly apparent with little examination that Tupac was targeted by the media. The powers that control the media must have felt threatened in order to take suppressive measures against the character of Tupac Shakur. The question remains, then, as to why he was targeted. Tupac must of had something revealing to say in order for his silencing to be an order.
