There are hundreds of websites on the internet today that will come up when you enter the term Boot Camp or Boot Camps for troubled teens. This may be a little confusing because there are only a few military-style boot camps that will take defiant, out of control youth. Most of what are categorized as "traditional military schools" are designed for youth that are desirous of a better education or a career in the military. What most people are looking for when they enter the search term "teen boot camps" is what they see featured on television. They want a drill sergeant that will get in their cild's face and demand respect. This being said there are some boarding schools that have similar results to the in your face boot camps mentioned.

Unfortunately, some teens are more troubled than others and may spiral out of control. These teens are at higher risk of developing serious problems such as substance abuse and addiction, eating disorders, failure in school, legal problems, pregnancy, and in the worst-case scenario, attempted suicide.
