Tropical Cichlids are a freshwater variety of fish that come predominately from South America, though there are some from Asia and North Africa . These fish prefer a fresh water environment with plenty of room. They do best in an aquarium with a pH of neutral (7.0) to slightly acidic (6.8). They ... prefer soft water.
