Tron 2.0 offers some multiplayer scenarios, both in campaign mode and in light cycle mode. Internet and LAN play are available, although the vendor does not recommend that the light cycle mode be used over the Internet due to its generally high lag.

You can't write an article on Tron 2.0 without making at least some mention of one of the coolest aspects to the game, light cycle racing. This dangerous, high-paced sport has several cameos throughout the campaign, and even has a separate single-player interface so that players can practice any time that they see fit. There's even multiplayer support, though don't expect a super experience on anything but the most high-end of connections. The concept for the uninitiated is simple: several cycles enter an arena and try to wipe each other out. This is done by trying to force an opponent into the player's "trail", which is left behind by each light cycle. In a match with several different enemies, the action can quickly get hectic as players try to outmaneuver or trap each other using their trails.
