Former WWE Women’s champion Trish Stratus is training to take part in a December celebrity triathalon which is scheduled to take place in Turks & Caicos. The race is to help AIDS charities in raising awareness and funds. Trish Stratus will be in a team of celebrities and each one will be handling one portion of the triathalon, Stratus will be running a 13 mile marathon as part of the race. Rumours of Trish Stratus appearing at WrestleMania events are false. The former Women's Champion confirmed to SLAM! Wrestling that rumours making their way around the 'net are false. The word that circulated was that Stratus had cancelled appearances in the Las Vegas area, "apparently," working with WWE over WrestleMania weekend. Among the commitments that Stratus was reported to have cancelled was a guestspot on the Internet-based radio show Carnage. "None of that is true!" Stratus told SLAM!

Trish Stratus won several Women's titles while in the WWE. The writers felt she was the only semi good looking female with any shred of what anyone would consider "wrestling ability" in a woman...besides, she sold magazines, and hey, THAT'S ALL THAT MATTERS!!!! Trish later went on to develop a small, yet truly satanical, stalker type fanbase. Rivaling that of The Beatles and Elvis...made up of dorky fat boys, ugly lesbian females from Toronto, YOU and for a short time, a hyperactive Mini Clone named Mickie James. Trish had MADE IT!

Trish Stratus made her debut in March of 2000. She has since been marketed as a scheming siren not above using her feminine charm to achieve her goals. While she began as a manager for the tag team of Test and Albert -- T & A -- Trish has since become a ring regular, matching up against other WWE female stars such as Lita and Molly Holly.
