On July 6, 2005 the Trinidad Express reported, "Art, literature and culture will be featured in a one-month vacation course for children. Kendra spiritual leader, Raviji said: 'Ramdilla allows for a wide range of interesting subjects to be taught to children. These disciplines are valuable supplements to school curriculum and home training. The course is ... a good blend between play and discipline.' He said the vacation exercise will offer studies suitable to various age groups. 'This promotes cultural confidence and self-esteem.' He said parents have testified to the impact of previous courses on their children. The sessions will include studies in Ramayan, Ramdilla Performance Arts- Singing, Dance, Script Writing, Narration and Acting, Yoga and Communication Skills."

Cain's speech isn't the only time the Trinidad Express has given prominent and sympathetic play to drug war dissidents in recent weeks. The Trinidad Express was founded in 1967 by a group of journalists who found themselves displaced when the British -owned "Daily Mirror" was brought out by foreign owners of the rival Guardian newspaper. They enlisted the help of a number of their country's leading businessmen and on June 6 1967 the first paper rolled off the presses. June 29, 2005 -- The Trinidad Express has reported that "The postal service has to prepare for change with the coming of the CARICOM Single Market Economy (CSME). This according to Public Utilities Minister Pennelope Beckles at the ninth Caribbean Postal Union (CPU) conference at the Crowne Plaza, Port of Spain, yesterday."
