Trees: Waters

Deceased being suckled by a sycamore Meaning: Several types of trees appeared in Egyptian mythology. The sycamore was particularly important. Two of them, called the "sycamores of turquoise" stood at the eastern gate of heaven from which the sun emerged each morning. These sycamores were especially associated with the goddesses Nut, Hathor and Isis, each of whom were called "Lady of the Sycamore". Nut and Hathor were often shown to reach out from the tree to offer the deceased food and water. Sometimes the tree was anthropomorphized, having arms itself which offer the sustenance to the dead. In the example shown at right, the deceased is suckled by such a tree.
Caught in gale force winds and laden with thousands of trees, Schuenemann's ship, the Rouse Simmons, strained in Lake Michigan's turbulent waters. As the gale turned into blizzard conditions, the crew struggled to keep the schooner afloat. Rescuers searching the following day found no sign of the boat, or of any wreckage. The Rouse Simmons was gone.
To take advantage of regular trash pickup days between December 27, 2004, and January 15, 2005, residents should place their trees at the curb along with their other recyclables. Residents are asked to remove all items from the tree, including decorations, tree stands, water containers, and the bulk of tinsel. If the last pickup day is missed, residents can still recycle their trees by chopping them into small pieces and placing the pieces in their green waste container.
A view of a tree from below; this may exaggerate apparent height A further problem with measuring baobabs Adansonia is that these trees store large amounts of water in the very soft wood in their trunks. This leads to marked variation in their girth over the year, swelling to a maximum at the end of the rainy season, minimum at the end of the dry season. Although baobabs have some of the highest girth measurements of any trees, no accurate measurements are currently available, but probably do not exceed 10-11 m (33–36 ft) diameter.
According to UNEP, trees are vital to a healthy planet. They absorb pollution, protect water catchments, reduce soil erosion, produce life-giving oxygen, mitigate climate change, cool cities, provide habitat for wildlife, are culturally important and are a legacy for future generations.

The water treatments plus GOLD'n GRO chelated micronutrient application produced dramatic visual results with most trees noticeably greener than they were in the prior year. Tissue tests showed that the foliage of trees that received water treatment plus chelated micronutrient treatment contained higher mineral nutrient levels than the trees that received only water treatment.
