The 2007 Toyota Camry Solara has wonderful aerodynamic styling and offers many features that add to its sporty appeal including standard integrated fog lamps, and luscious LED rear lights. Carrying over onto the interior are sporty styling cues such as power windows, cruise control, and futuristic instrumentation. Add the security of a remote keyless entry system and power automatic door locks and you have a fully mature driving system. Toyota even installed standard a 60/40 split fold-down rear seat for added utility.

Just like its Camry sedan sister, the 2004 Toyota Camry Solara has grown larger in every significant dimension, gaining interior space plus, in the case of the coupe, a sleeker, more aerodynamic shape. A high waistline and reduced side glass might lead you to suspect its a tad claustrophobic in the cabin but such is not the case, as long as you're sitting up front. Fortunately the Solara is a genuine four-seater in which the folks in back don't suffer the usual rear seat squeeze. A long trip would not be out of order for four people. Those front seats are deeply contoured and provide support when cornering though they're not sports car snug, so a large-bodied person will be comfortable enough. The doors are long, which makes disembarking in tight places a problem but thanks to front seats that slide forward with the touch of a handle, egress to the rear seat area is not difficult, as our friend Jacques Duez happily demonstrates.

The Toyota Camry Solara is ... the first vehicle in the Toyota lineup, after their 1997 partnership agreement to feature a JBL premium stereo option, which all models came with a single-slot in-dash CD player and cassette deck. The SE models come standard with 15-inch steel rims and hupcabs, upgradable to 15-inch alloy rims. The Sports Package also adds a retuned suspension, perforated leather-wrapped steering wheel, perforated 8-way power-adjustable leather seats, an upgrade to 16-inch alloy rims, retuned steering, minor trim changes and a rear lip spoiler.

In September 2001, the Toyota Camry was released as a larger sedan (taking styling cues from the successful Vitz, Corolla and Solara) only, but without a station wagon for the first time. Due to station wagons losing popularity to minivans, the Camry wagon was replaced by the Toyota Sienna in the USA, with the minivan using the Camry platform.

Like the previous year's model, the 2008 Camry Solara does not lack for features. Antilock brakes, an advanced airbag system, a direct tire-pressure monitoring system, remote keyless entry, integrated fog lamps, high solar-energy-absorbing glass, and an AM/FM stereo system with an in-dash six-disc CD changer are just some of the Camry Solara's standard features, while options include Bluetooth and a voice-activated navigation system.
