Heavy and perfectly balanced, the Torpedo is a lot of fun for target throwing. The double tapered points slide effortlessly from the hand for a perfect release and offer twice the sticking potential of a conventional throwing knife. What's more, the heavy 2 lb. weight lets you stand way back from the target (20 yards or more) and really "lob 'em in there" with surprising force. At 15", the Torpedo is one of the longest throwing knives we know of. Thrown over hand, or side-arm, it cuts a wide swath, dramatically increasing the chance of intercepting rising birds or fleeing small game. The Torpedo is made from cold rolled 1055 steel, which is zone heat treated to provide maximum resistance to breakage, and is given a black matte finish.

The Torpedo's power source was the small, nuclear-powered jet turbo units that were located at the wrists and ankles of the body suit. The turbo jets enabled the Torpedo to fly at speeds of up to 2500 miles per hour for a limited amount of time. The Torpedo usually flew at a much slower speed in his patrols of Clairton, but he was able to give chase to Rom, who has been known to achieve speeds of up to 3000 miles per hour.

The Torpedo bottles have a round end to prevent them from being stood up. The idea was that the soda kept in contact with the cork and stopped the cork from shrinking; the corks would dry up and shrink on upright bottles, causing the bottle to loose pressure. A side advantage for the merchant was that the consumer had to finish the beverage before the bottle could be laid down.

The Forward Torpedo Room has six torpedo tubes and the After Torpedo Room has four tubes. When leaving on war patrol the 10 tubes are each loaded with a torpedo and 14 more are stored on racks in the two torpedo rooms (10 forward and 4 aft) for a total of 24 torpedoes.
