Image:275px-TopGearLogo.jpg‎ Top Gear is a BAFTA,[1] Multi-NTA and Emmy Award-winning BBC television series about motor vehicles, mainly cars. It began in 1977 as a conventional motoring magazine show. Over time, and especially since a relaunch in 2002, it has developed a quirky, humorous style. The programme is estimated to have 350 million viewers worldwide[2] and 8 million viewers each week in the UK on BBC Two.[3] The show is presented by Jeremy Clarkson, Richard Hammond, James May and The Stig, an anonymous test driver. It is one of the most pirated television shows in the world.[4][5]
One nice thing about Top Gear is that, even though it’s mainly about sport compacts, it does bring some other interest cars into the mix. You will find American muscle just as easily as you will find Asian compacts and German luxury cars. Gamers can choose from what looks to be a Civic hatchback, a BMW 323, a Celica, a Dodge Charger, or a Ford F-150 pick-up. No official licenses are in place, but at least you will be racing well-known rides in Top Gear.
Top Gear - New Hosts --> Top Gear teams up with Railtrack to show what happens when a locomotive crashes into a car that has jumped the lights at a railway crossing and Jeremy takes a spin in the new Lamborghini Murcielago LP640. The lads decide to grow their own biofuel crop and each picks their own monster tractor to use for the occasion. Before they get to work in the field the team must put their tractors through a number of challenges. Top Gear first orginally aired in 1977 as a 30 minute long show. It was a fairly conventional magazine show reviewing new cars and following other car-related issues and news. The show became much more popular in the early 1990s with the arrival of Jeremy Clarkson, who helped steer the show into becoming more humorous and controversial. Following Clarkson's departure from the show in 1999, the show lost over half its audience, prompting the BBC to cancel the series in 2001. The remaining presenters jumped ship to a new network and launched a similar show, Fifth Gear.

Top Gear has ... been nominated in three consecutive years (2004–2006) for the British Academy Television Awards in the Best Feature category. Clarkson was also nominated in the best "Entertainment Performance" category in 2006.[32] In 2004 and 2005, Top Gear was also nominated for a National Television Award in the Most Popular Factual Programme category; it won the award in 2006 and 2007. Accepting the award in October 2007, Richard Hammond made the comment that they really deserved it this year, because he didn't have to crash to get some sympathy votes.[33] Also, in Series 10, Richard Hammond won the award for the 'Best TV Haircut' and James May won the award for the worst.
