Toontown Central Toontown Central is your beginning point once you create a new Toon. It is home to some of the weakest cogs in the game, roaming the streets of Toontown Central. But don't worry. The cogs here range from levels 1 to 3, so it's a piece of cake taking them down! There are barely any Cog Buildings here and many Toons populate each district, so you might want to try another neighborhood.
Toontown is a fictional, cartoon city created by author Gary K. Wolf. It was present in his 1981 novel Who Censored Roger Rabbit?, but only in brief mentions. Toontown served as the central setting and reached a wider audience in the novel's loose 1988 Disney film adaptation Who Framed Roger Rabbit,[1] in which Judge Doom intended to destroy it for commercial development along a planned freeway. The film won four Academy Awards,[2] and Roger Rabbit was featured in three subsequent animated shorts, 1989's Tummy Trouble, 1990's Roller Coaster Rabbit and 1993's Trail Mix-Up.[3]

Advancement in the game requires completing "Toontasks", tasks assigned by the non-player characters scattered about Toontown. Completing the tasks earns additional laff points for the player's Toon (up to a maximum of 137), new gags, jellybeans (the in-game currency), and a variety of other benefits. Tasks range from simple delivery missions to clearing one or more Cog buildings entirely. The easiest tasks are in Toontown Central, while some of the more challenging tasks are at Donald's Dreamland and The Brrrgh. Some tasks are required for a Toon to advance in the game, while other tasks are optional, giving the player extra jellybeans or new clothes. Completing a task ... heals any damage the player has taken.
