Insert Molding — During this process plastic is injected into the mold around an insert, that’s been placed in the tooling prior to injection. The product pictured above left demonstrates the use of insert molding and welding. The center hub is insert molded into the bottom half. The top half is molded separately and welded to the bottom to produce the completed assembly. The completed part is then laser inspected for TIR and balance. Learn More
