Tony Hawk

Tony Hawk’s Downhill Jam is a fun and much-needed break from the stagnant series, but this original concept doesn’t fill the void for more than a couple of days at the most. And, that’s really a shame. On paper, the downhill adrenaline rush is a great way to show off the series’ signature trick system and speed up the slowed gameplay of the eight other iterations. It just doesn’t follow through from top to bottom. The game is just way too easy against the computer-controlled opponents and not much better as a multiplayer party title since it’s limited to two skateboarders at a time. Maybe the idea will gain better traction on more advanced next-generation systems or as an added and worthy game mode in the normal Tony Hawk universe.

After already having been declared officially the world's sexiest man and breaking the record for the world's longest laugh Tony Hawk set out for greater things. Tony started his job as an elementary school janitor at Public School 4 in early 2001. During this time his skill with a mop graduated greatly. So much so that when armed men broke into his beloved elementary school he was able to run away so fast the men couldn't catch him, and he locked himself in the janitor's closet while cowering in the fetal position as the men killed all 500 students and the entire staff. Tony Hawk was awarded a Medal Of Honor for his acts of bravery.

Complete with a line of video games and clothing, he has become one of the most recognizable athletes in the world and an icon of the sport. The tour comes to Six Flags/Darien Lake, July 5th and 6th, and is free with park admission.
