Timothy Hutton Timothy Hutton is an American Academy Award-winning actor. To this day, he holds the record as the youngest winner ever of the Best Supporting Actor Oscar. Hutton won this award at the age of 20 for his role in "Ordinary People". He has gone on to numerous popular roles in feature films and television. One of the owners of the venerable New York City restaurant and bar P. J. Clarke's, he became president of the prestigious Players Club in 2003.

His sympathetic portrayal of teenager Conrad Jarrett, who struggles to come to terms with the death of his brother, was widely praised. The youngest recipient of the Academy Award for best supporting actor, the 20-year-old Hutton won despite formidable competition (including that from his People costar Judd Hirsch, who played Conrad's psychiatrist). Hutton continued playing troubled youths for some time and finally moved on to more dynamic roles in the late 1980s. In addition to his steady on-screen career, he made occasional ventures into stage acting and directing.
