[H]e was offered his second historical film Cromwell and ... in 1970 Timothy played Heathcliff in Wuthering Heights. Around this time he also appeared in his first modern film of Giochi Paticolari aka La Voyeur where he played Mark. Timothy was dubbed entirely in Italian for it. Timothy Dalton In 1990, EON's contract with Dalton officially expired, though the actor technically still owed the studio one more Bond picture. Dalton, determined to honor his commitment, initially offered to don the tux one last time for a 1991 sequel. As fate would have it have it... a lengthy litigation between MGM/UA and Danjaq, LLC (parent company of EON Productions) over ownership rights to the Bond character tied up the franchise. Plans for the 17th 007 film had to be scuttled and the project was placed on indefinite hold. Finally, in 1994, after nearly five years of waiting on the sidelines, Dalton had had enough and asked to be released from his contract. EON agreed and the two parted ways amicably.
[I]n August 2002, Timothy started shooting the role of Damian Drake, in the Warner Bros. Motion Picture Looney Tunes: Back In Action where Timothy plays a missing explorer in search of the legendary Blue Diamond. This production is part animation and part live action and is scheduled to open in Theatres in the States on the 14th November 2003, and in the UK on February 13th 2004.
