Race drivers Jarno Trulli and Timo Glock were behind the wheel on a hot and sunny day in the Middle East to resume the team's programme of set-up development. The warm weather ... gave the team another chance to monitor the cooling characteristics of the TF108, which features a revised cooling lay-out. As well as looking at different mechanical set-ups, aerodynamic work was also carried out and some development items evaluated while practice pit stops took place after the day's running had ended in preparation for a Grand Prix simulation tomorrow. Another trouble-free day saw Jarno and Timo complete their full programmes, gathering useful set-up information, and both drivers will continue preparations for the new season tomorrow.

Timo Glock may have had a rocky beginning to the weekend, but it has not affected his determination to get in the car and give the fans a good race to watch. He’s very much looking forward to Final Qualifying this afternoon and a great race tomorrow – and to catching Andrew Ranger (currently 4 points ahead) in the race for Rookie of the Year. Look forward to a great 2005 season watching Timo Glock move forward on a race track near you.

Timo Glock is free to join Toyota. The news has been confirmed by BMW Motorsport boss Mario Theissen. There had been a dispute over the terms of an agreement between the German driver and Toyota and this meant that the contract was previously rejected by the Contract Recognition Board. It seems that a new contract has now been prepared and that means that Glock can race for Toyota next year. This would seem to suggest that the problem was one concerning the duration of the contract. That means that it is possible that BMW still has some claim on Glock at some point in the future - a first option perhaps - but that he is free in 2008.

Timo Glock has taken his maiden GP2 series victory in only his second race weekend for iSport International. The German took the chequered flag in today’s race at Magny Cours from ART Grand Prix’s Alex Prémat and Super Nova International’s José María López. Championship leader Lewis Hamilton had to make do with just a single point for fastest lap after a nightmare afternoon which saw him finish 19th having been lapped by Timo. Race Report: José made a fantastic start from pole position and was followed into Turn 1 by Giorgio Pantano.

Panasonic Toyota Racing brought its first test of 2008 to a close on positive note with Timo Glock setting the fastest time of the day in the new TF108 at Jerez in Spain today. Timo’s task was to gain as much track time as possible with the new car while ... comparing set-up changes and mechanical settings. Kamui Kobayashi was in the TF107 for its final planned official test but rain in the morning led him to sit out the first two hours. With a new car to test, Timo was immediately down to work on the wet track and he made good progress on a lengthy programme before a spin into the gravel just before lunch. No damage was done and after the TF108 was cleaned and checked he resumed, with Kamui now on track looking into set-up and fine-tuning the new gearbox and ECU. Another trouble-free run from TF108 saw Timo end the day on 96 laps, meaning the new car has clocked up an impressive total of over 1,500km over four days.
