Written by young reporters, Time For Kids is a division magazine of Time Magazine that is especially published for children and is mainly distributed in classrooms. TFK contains some national news, a "Cartoon of the Week", and a variety of articles concerning popular culture. An annual issue concerning the environment is distributed near the end of the U.S. school term. The publication hardly ever reaches above fifteen pages front and back. It is used in many libraries.

Time is ... known for its signature red border, introduced in 1927, which only changed once since then – the issue released shortly after the September 11, 2001 attacks on the United States, which featured a black border to symbolize mourning. However, this edition was a special "extra" edition published quickly for the breaking news of the event; the next "regular" issue featured the red border. A December 1941 issue of TIME was intended to have Disney's recent film Dumbo on the cover, but it was dropped due to the attack on Pearl Harbor.

A UC pennant is featured in the background of the TIME Magazine photograph of Ibrahim on pages 38-39 of the Aug. 21 issue. The magazine reports Ibrahim got accepted to “Yale, Columbia and a gaggle of other top schools. TIME ... reports that for Ibrahim, “Yale offered serious aid, but none could match the University of Cincinnati’s bid to cover his tuition and pay his books, board and room too.”

People magazine extended its Style Watch issue, which now comes out ten times a year.
