1. Pigs
   Pigs were the principal objects of wealth: They were accumulated, traded, loaned, and paid out to resolve disputes. Pigs were ... the central religious object: They were pampered, revered, and finally sacrificed, their skulls bashed in with a sanctified club in a ritual ceremony that moved a man up the social ladder. A set number of pigs of a certain value each were required for the attainment of chiefly rank. As the pigs were killed, the killer assumed their spirits, gaining power and prestige among his clan.
2. Pigs -- Stories
   A must have for every pig aficionado, this 70 page photo book features 98 of the 100 pigs created for The Return of the Pigs 2007 (all pigs that were completed by press time). Also included are stories from pig artists and photos from the kick-off parade. Was $12.95. Now on sale for $10.00 each.
3. Pigs -- Pounds
   Pigs and Hogs are the same only classed differently by their weight. They are called pigs when they are small and when the reach 120 pounds or more then are classified as a hog.
4. Pigs -- Meats
   The ancient Greeks ate pigs. The Romans were masters of smoking and salting pork. From the time of medieval Europe through colonial North America, pigs were allowed to forage for acorns, nuts, and other foods in the forest in a semi-wild state. In the fall, they would be rounded up, slaughtered, butchered, and preserved by smoking, salting, and curing. In the United States, the pig was the most popular source of meat through the nineteenth century. The westward migration of American settlers into what would become the Corn Belt in America's Midwestern states was the perfect marriage of an Old World livestock with the grain of native Americans.
5. Guinea Pigs
   As Guinea Pigs are social animals, females can be kept together or with a single male. Males should be kept apart or introduced together at an early age. Cavies are equally happy if housed alone. A suitably sized hutch is generally sufficient for exercise and if handled often, Guinea Pigs will lie quietly with their owner and sleep. Children should keep an eye on their pets when playing with them. Guinea Pigs will get up to mischief if left alone and should be protected from other animals.
6. Chicken Little
   The most common game style in Chicken Little is a 3D platform affair. These sections offer the most freedom as you run and jump around the landscape, although the path through the level is always abundantly clear. Chicken Little has several skills that he can use within these sections. He has a yo-yo which can be used to attack small clockwork doppelgangers that approach him with ill-intent. He can ... use his yo-yo as a grappling hook or to swing from. This sounds promising, but unfortunately you can only employ these skills at certain spots which are clearly marked with giant arrows.
7. Guinea Pigs -- Rabbits
   Guinea Pigs don't even need to be spayed, but litter costs for these furballs are as high as for that of a rabbit. Costs for a guinea pig can exceed $645 in the first year.
8. Guinea Pigs -- Families
   In 1999, balaclava-clad activists broke into the farm and stole 600 guinea pigs. Farm machinery was sabotaged; the Halls' cars were daubed with paint-stripper and explosives left on their land. The newsagent in Yoxall stopped supplying the family with papers after threatening letters were sent to other customers. The golf club where Chris Hall was a member had several greens dug up and he was asked to resign. The landlords of the Red Lion pub in Newborough, where the Halls drank, had their contract with the brewery terminated after they refused to stop serving them. The activists had threatened to poison the brewery's entire supply of beer.
9. Guinea Pigs -- South America
   Guinea Pigs are ... known as “cavies” – a name that comes from their origins in South America where some of their cousins still live in abandoned burrows. Guinea Pigs like company and, although yours is nice, they’d prefer to have another guinea pig living with them. They will want a really large cage so that they have plenty of room to run around. They can live indoors or out, although inside is best in extremely cold weather.
10. Guinea Pigs -- Pets
    Guinea pigs are hystricomorph rodents (related to chinchillas and porcupines) that originated from the Andes Mountains region of South America. They were probably first domesticated by the Indians of Peru, who used them for food and as sacrificial offerings to their gods. In the 16th century Dutch explorers introduced guinea pigs to Europe, and selective breeding and captive rearing began in earnest. Guinea pigs are very popular pets because of their availability, docile temperaments, tendency not to bite or scratch when handled, and relatively clean habits. They are not long-lived, which can be disconcerting to owners (especially children). Many parents... believe that having their children experience the relatively short period of companionship and subsequent death is a meaningful way to expose children to the "ups and downs" of life.
