The guys from Oscar-winning rap group Three 6 Mafia had a real tough dayon Friday -- being forced to hang out in a sick Los Angeles pad with a bikini-clad model. Terrible.

In 2003, Three 6 Mafia released the album Da Unbreakables, which features collaborations with Lil' Flip, Pimp C (from UGK), Lil Wyte, Frayser Boy and Project Pat. The album produced the hit "Ridin' Spinners," which featured Lil' Flip. Videos for "Ridin' Spinners" and "Ghetto Chick" were ... made.

Memphis, Tennessee's thuggish rappers, Three 6 Mafia, rhyme about life on the streets of the Southern ghetto. Following in the tradition of rappers who have turned their creative visions to filmmaking, including Master P and Dr. Dre, the hip-hop group have produced Choices. Filmed in their hometown of Memphis, it is the story of a former convict trying to live a good life without crime and the difficulties he faces.

In 2000, the official Three 6 Mafia follow-up to the Chapter 2 album, When the Smoke Clears, was released. With the success of the lead single, "Sippin’ on Some Sizzurp" in a few non-Southern markets, the album debuted at number six on the Billboard 200. It received little MTV airplay and little national radio rotation.

Whether or not Three 6 Mafia is ever recognized as one of the most consistent and prolific groups to arise from the south, the Three 6 legacy will continue to speak for itself. Real will always be recognized amongst the real.
