Thomas J. Moore is a fellow at the Center for Health Services Research and Policy at The George Washington University School of Public Health and Health Services specializing in issues involving the safety of prescription drugs. Thomas J. Moore (May 1, 1883 - February 12, 1955) was an actor in the United States, born in Fordstown Crossroads, County Meath, Ireland. Along with his brothers Matt, Owen & Joe(1895-1926) he immigrated to America and all went on to Hollywood, California and to successful careers in motion pictures.
Thomas J. Moore has spent six years researching and writing about the safety of prescription drugs as a senior fellow in health policy at the George Washington Medical Center. His previous book, Deadly Medicine, documented the tragedy in which tens of thousands of heart patients died from drugs that caused cardiac arrest. He has testified before Congress and lectured at universities and medical centers. Before turning to full-time research on health issues, he was a prizewinning investigative reporter and worked for the U.S. Senate staff.

Thomas J. Moore, the oldest son of James J. and Cecelia (Manning) Moore, was born in Perry County on August 3, 1833, and from his early manhood has been a prominent personage of the county. He was educated in the schools of the county, and in early boyhood acquired a taste for farming.
