The USO has expanded its programs and services to help meet the increasing needs of today's military personnel and their families. The USO has opened eleven new centers in Iraq, Afghanistan, Kuwait, Texas, New York, Virginia, California and on Guam. The organization has distributed more than one million Operation USO Care Packages and two million phone cards, letting America's troops know their service and sacrifice have not been forgotten. USO entertainment tours average one show per day annually. The Mobile USO program deployed three "USO centers on wheels" across the country, bringing morale-boosting programs and services to troops stationed in remote and isolated areas.

With DoMo HomePage, users can quickly and easily create personalized mobile portals tailored to their interests that draw content from both PCs and the Web. Soon, users will also be able to bookmark public portals and access them on the DoMo HomePage Community website from any mobile device with a browser.

Bantu ceremonies and dance groups are strongly linked to their community structure and spiritual well-being. Thus, traditional ceremonies and ritual dancing among the Bantu will most likely continue to be an important aspect of their lives once they are settled in the United States. Resettlement agencies should therefore try to incorporate these aspects of community organization into the Bantu's resettlement placement and delivery of services. In the United States, clustering Bantu families together in housing units would allow them to draw on their community cooperation and support.

Of those interested in discovering their family roots, 66 percent said they've discussed their family history with other family members. More than 35 percent have used the Internet to learn about their family history and almost a third (29 percent) have created a family tree. Some have taken their interest even further -- 15 percent of respondents have traveled to an ancestral hometown or country and 11 percent have written a personal or family history.

The Maine Educational Loan Authority (MELA) was established in 1988 to assist students and their families to achieve their higher education goals by providing a supplemental or alternative student loan program. With education costs rising at rates higher than many people can afford, MELA's goal is to help students bridge the gap between the full cost of a college education and traditional sources of financial aid.
