While the X-Men would eventually become some of the industry's biggest stars, they didn't catch on immediately. After seven years of publication, the title was deemed too unprofitable to carry original material, and from issue #67 the title carried only reprints of older stories.

Cain Marko was the bullying stepbrother of Charles Xavier. While the two were serving military duty in Korea, Cain found the ancient temple of Cyttorak. Attempting to grab the ruby inside, Xavier stopped Marko and instead got transformed by the ruby himself. Leaving Xavier to die, Marko fled back to the United States, where he inherited the Xavier Estate. When Xavier returned from Korea, he kicked Marko out of the mansion, with Marko vowing revenge. Soon after, Marko met with Magneto and the two conspired for years against Xavier.

Xinhua China stated that, although China's digital television market is relatively small by North American standards, the annual compounded growth rate of digital television subscribers is estimated to grow at 165% per year from 2005 to 2008. With 5.3 million home subscribers in 2005, up from 1 million in 2004, digital TV in China is enjoying exponential growth.

The defendant in the case, 21-year-old Mark Shumaker, faces a maximum prison sentence of five years and a maximum fine of $250,000. Shumaker helped coordinate the supply and release of albums online before they hit retail stores and ran the Apocalypse Crew’s Internet Relay Chat (IRC) channel, federal investigators charged.

Coming on the heels of the announcement that Robert Patrick ("Terminator 2") is joining the "X-Files" as Agent Dana Scully's partner for season 8 is word that Scully herself, Gillian Anderson, has signed for a ninth season. With Anderson staying on for at least one more year and Patrick standing ready to replace David Duchovny (Agent Fox Mulder), it seems that a ninth season of "The X-Files" is likely.
