If you didn't get a chance to check out the original X-Men Legends, now's your chance to try it with better graphics and different superpowers. The sequel to the action RPG doesn't tinker with a successful formula. You control four mutants at a time in battles with Apocalypse's minions, earning experience and collecting items along the way. The demo offers a great introduction to the gameplay and story line. It's too bad the included mission isn't long enough to get a better impression.

For X-MEN fans, this is probably something to add to the collection. The later volumes especially have some very nice art. On the other hand, those who are not interested in the exploits of everyone's favorite angst-ridden mutants, will probably not find much in this series that is of interest.

Virtually every member of the X-Men is a superhuman mutant. There have... been exceptions, such as the Mimic, who could duplicate the superhuman powers of mutants, and Longshot, an artificially created, genetically engineered humanoid from another dimensional world.
