Themovie, The Wedding Singer, is one of those films that everyone canidentify with. That is, if you happened to have come of age during theEighties when the hottest things going were cordless phones, Miami Viceand more eye shadow and glitter than most people wear on Halloween.While the love story, how it begins and starts to unfold, between thetwo main characters is a sweet story; what truly makes this film asuccess is the sentimental and nostalgic look back at the Eighties.

To enjoy The Wedding Singer, you need three things. You have to be in a really good mood, be a ridiculously helpless romantic, and love 80s popular music. If you have all three of these qualities, then you can probably forgive the multiple faults of this film and accept the modicom of entertainment that can be drained from this ridiculous drivel.

Williamstown Musical Theatre Company Inc is proud to announce the auditions for their May 2008 production of “The Wedding Singer”. The production will be performed at the Williamstown Mechanics Institute from Friday May 2nd to Saturday May 17th 2008.
