The Smashing Pumpkins will headline the KROQ LA Invasion concert on September 15th. But other stellar acts on the bill for the single day event include Foo Fighters, Velvet Revolver, Chris Cornell, Cypress Hill and Perry Farrell’s Satellite Party. The concert will take place at the Home Depot Center at Cal State Dominguez Hills and tickets for the event go on sale this Saturday August 18th. Tickets are $35, $65 and $85.

The Smashing Pumpkins opened their much-anticipated 11-night stand at the legendary Fillmore in San Francisco - the second-longest run in the venue's fabled history - with an epic three-hour show. The concert began at 10 p.m. Sunday and ended at 1:07 a.m. Monday.

Smashing Pumpkins' other three members lead singer Billy Corgan, bass player D'Arcy Wretzky, and lead guitarist James Iha were staying at another hotel four blocks away. They were in town for a concert on July 14.

A new venue has finally been announced for Smashing Pumpkins' Sept. 19 concert, which was originally scheduled for the same day at downtown's Embarcadero Marina Park South. The concert will now be held Sept. 19 at the SDSU Open Air Theatre.
