The Simpsons is an American animated sitcom created by Matt Groening for the Fox Broadcasting Company. It is a satirical parody of the middle class American lifestyle epitomized by its titular family, which consists of Homer, Marge, Bart, Lisa, and Maggie. The show is set in the fictional town of Springfield, and it lampoons many aspects of the human condition, as well as American culture, society as a whole, and television itself.

The Simpsons isn't meant to be taken seriously. It is a rollicking ride through a fantasy society, and it satirizes very human traits. Audiences will find this to be a treat during troubled times. How else can the success of something so inane yet so clever be justified?

Yeah the writers of the Simpson’s are innovators in that area. Oh but wait, who used to do that YEARS AGO? Oh yeah, Johnny Carson did that. Come to think of it, just about every late night comedian does that too! Oh crud, sorry guys. Someone beat ya to it. It’s still verrry meaningful though.

The Simpsons is currently slated for release on the Sony PlayStation 3, Nintendo Wii, Microsoft Xbox 360, Nintendo DS and Sony PlayStation Portable. You can grab a copy when it hits retail later this year.

Santa's Little Helper, Snowball, and Snowball 2 are the Simpson family pets. Santa's Little Helper is a greyhound that the Simpsons rescued from a dog track. Snowball 2 is the current family cat, as the original Snowball was run over by a car.
