The penguins believed that language needed to speak more directly to its readers, both in its form and content. H.M. Lemieux met with Kansas City officials and Sprint Center representatives in January about moving the Penguins to Kansas. Kansas City officially made an impressive offer, which didn’t require the Penguins to pay any rent or construction costs. Other destinations rumored to be under consideration include Portland, Houston, Winnipeg, and Tulsa.

It is fine to soften reality—visually minimize the casualties of predators and fierce winter storms—in a movie aimed at all ages. A lot of bodies could be too much for young children to handle. But the word "disappeared" is an odd and misleading choice, when "some don't survive" would suffice.
