Roster move: The Penguins assigned winger Joe Jensen to the ECHL’s Wheeling Nailers on Thursday. He had a goal and a plus-2 rating in seven games since being called up Dec. 5.

[T]here’s Norfolk at Scope Arena, where the Penguins haven’t won since Dec. 3, 2005. Keep in mind, it’s only a three-game losing streak. It’s nothing like the 14 straight games that Norfolk has gone without a win at Wachovia Arena, but still. … The Penguins did not look good in their two previous appearances at Scope losing 5-2 and 6-3. In both games, the Admirals chased the Penguins’ starting goalie.

Penguins right wing Dennis Bonvie appeared in his 188th career game for the club on Sunday in Hershey, moving him into sole possession of 15th place on the team’s all-time games played list. Bonvie is the leader in career games played among current AHL players with 774, and ranks 29th all-time in AHL history.

In the past four games, when the Penguins were 1-for-28 on the power play, the puck would do just about anything but go in the net. But this time, it was differnet.
