1. Ernest Hemingway -- Old Man
   Ernest Hemingway was a legend in his own life-time--in a sense, a legend of his own making. He worked hard at being a composite of all the manly attributes he gave to his fictional heroes--a hard drinker, big-game hunter, fearless soldier, amateur boxer, and bullfight aficionado. Because the man and his fiction often seemed indistinguishable, critics have had difficulty judging his work objectively. His protagonists--virile and laconic--have been extravagantly praised and vehemently denounced. In his obsession with violence and death, the Hemingway creation has been rivaled only by the Byronic myth of the 19th century. Despite sensational publicity and personal invective, Hemingway now ranks among America's great writers.
2. Man, Isle Of -- Irish Sea
   The culture of the Isle of Man is strongly influenced by its Celtic and Norse origins. It is currently enjoying a revival of the Gaelic Manx language (Gaelg). Although the last original native speaker died in 1974, small children are once again being brought up speaking Manx. There are now 27 known native speakers and 650 other speakers. Manx is closely related to the Scottish Gaelic and Irish languages. A well known Manx expression is "Traa Dy Liooar", meaning "time enough" and represents a stereotypical view of the Manx attitude to life.
3. Babylonia -- Old Babylonia
   The similarities between Genesis and the far older Chaldean records are so striking that one cannot escape the conclusion that Babylonia was the source of the Old Testament writing. In both accounts darkness precedes light, all is chaos, "without form, and void," and water fills the great deep of Space. "The Spirit of God" that "moved upon the face of the deep" in Genesis is the same as the Chaldean Ea, the god of wisdom. The "waters" are the divine Akasa, or Æther, which in course of time became the visible waters of earth, at first pure, but later on befouled -- the abode of Tiamat (sinful, gross matter). The struggle with this monster is not given in Genesis, but is the original of the war in heaven (Revelations xii) where "Michael and his angels fought against the dragon." Berosus gives a curious legend of a Man-Fish, Oannes.(17) His body was that of a fish, but under the fish's head was a human head and under the tail were feet, human ... was his voice and his speech.
4. Mermaids -- Seas
   Mermaids are beautiful creatures of the sea. They have a woman's head and body with the tail of a fish. Mermaid coloring pages often show long flowing hair, beautiful faces and occasionally enchanting voices. These mermaids are shown two ways in stories. Sometimes they are good and romantic creatures, helping others at sea and frolicking in the water. In other stories, they are a bit trickier and like to lure unsuspecting sailors into the water or be a little bit mean to those sailing on their seas.
5. Sea Power
   You don’t “go” to a British Sea Power gig, you participate, like how going to church should be. Ask any of the sweat covered mass who spilled out onto the streets of Sheffield, ears ringing and smiles beaming from faces of people who knew what they’d seen and knew in no uncertain terms that they’d just witnessed the best live band today.
6. Mediterranean Sea
   The Mediterranean Sea is a sea of the Atlantic Ocean, located between southern Europe and northern Africa. It is almost entirely enclosed by land; its connection to the Atlantic Ocean is only nine miles wide. It was an important ocean for trade between ancient civilizations such as Egypt, Rome, Greece, Carthage, Persia, and Phoenicia. It was ... home to ancient pirates.
7. Sea Power -- British Sea Power
   A rather conceptual indie band -- one that's been compared more than once to Joy Division -- British Sea Power is a quartet from Brighton, England, comprising members named Hamilton, Noble, Yan, and Wood. Formed in late 2000, their live shows began to receive notice early on, thanks in no small part to the large stuffed birds that perched on stage and the militaristic uniforms worn by the band members. Rough Trade's Geoff Travis was taken aback by one of the group's (literally) wild performances and signed them; by the end of 2001, they had two singles in the racks: Fear of Drowning on Golden Chariot and Remember Me on Rough Trade. After an amazing showcase at SXSW in 2003, British Sea Power prepped for the fall release of The Decline of British Sea Power. Open Season follwed in 2005. ~ Andy Kellman, All Music Guide

9. The Man in the Moon
   The Man in the Moon is an imaginary figure resembling a human face that observers from some cultural backgrounds typically perceive in the bright disc of the full Moon. The figure is composed of large dark areas (the lunar maria, or "seas") on the Moon's surface. The figure's eyes are Mare Imbrium and Mare Serenitatis, its nose is Sinus Aestuum, and its open mouth is Mare Nubium and Mare Cognitum.
10. Beenie Man -- Invincible Beenie Man
    As one of Reggae's most successful DJ's for several years now, Beenie Man (born Moses Davis) is on top of the Reggae world. He has had numerous hits that are consistently on the worldwide Reggae charts, and have recently crossed over to the mainstream charts. Like Junior Tucker and Dennis Brown, Beenie successfully made the transition from child to adult reggae music star. He started deejaying reggae music at 5 yrs old in his native home of Kingston, Jamaica and got a break performing at the annual Tastee Talent Show in '79, placing second behind Yellowman. In 1980 he won the contest, and recorded his first album, "The Invincible Beenie Man - Ten Year Old Boy Wonder" for Bunny "Striker" Lee, a veteran Jamaican producer. Beenie Man's mentor, producer, and manager Patrick Roberts and his successful label Shocking Vibes was instrumental in bringing him to the forefront of Reggae music.
