Earlier this year, ?uestlove of The Roots had a contest for underground talent. There's a new album called Okayplayer Presents True Notes Vol.1, and two spots were open for new artists. Although Quotable didn't make the cut, their song "Bout Time" placed in the top 10 finalists, out of 5,000 submitted songs. For more, view the April 23rd update, on the front page of OkayPlayer.com.

On November 29, 2006 actor Danny DeVito made an appearance on The View to promote his movie Deck the Halls. DeVito who had been out all night with actor George Clooney admitted to drinking before his appearance saying, "I knew it was the last seven limoncellos that was going to get me." DeVito slurred his words throughout the interview and told incoherent stories to the amusement of the audience. When asked by O'Donnell if he had been to sleep yet, DeVito responded saying, "I don't know." He then told a story about having once spent the night in the Lincoln Bedroom during the Clinton administration and attempted, with his wife Rhea Perlman, to "really wreck the joint."

Thinking about it from a business point of view if Nintendo made a Pokémon MMORPG which has the potential to be the best Pokémon game ever then where would they go from there? They could add things, a few Pokémon here and there but eventually it will run dry and turn into franchises such as Fifa, the same old thing with just a bit more (arguably it is like that already, but at least Pokémon Pearl and Diamond have offered new elements thanks to the DS’ unique input controls.)

Walters announced on September 10 that Sherri Shepherd was joining the panel as the fifth permanent member. This marks the first time since Meredith Vieira left in 2006 that the show features a complete panel of five co-hosts (although Hasselbeck will start an extended maternity leave in November). It ... marks the first time in the show's history that two African-American co-hosts are part of the same panel. With the addition of Goldberg and Shepherd, the View has garnered its highest ratings ever.

While Durant, Oden and several other draftees will become instant multimillionaires, rookies of any age who have both the athletic skills and the mental approach necessary to turn around a team immediately are rare. The N.B.A. wants new stars, so expectations often exceed reality. Meanwhile, other, less-heralded freshmen who have come out for the draft may not be selected by an N.B.A. team and will soon disappear from view.
