The Majestic Theatre was originally built in 1927 by real-estate magnates, the Chanin Brothers, as part of a three-theatre complex that ... included the Royale (a mid-sized house) and the Theatre Masque, now the John Golden (a small house). The Majestic, a large musical house, complemented the other two venues, enabling producers to move shows based on their ticket sales to the most appropriately-sized venue. In 1930, the Chanins transferred ownership of all three houses to the Shuberts.
The Majestic's Peter Appleton is an ambitious screen writers from Hollywood, who is finally trying to move in to the A league of films after battling senselessly with all kinds of films. And he believes that Ashes and Ashes would prove to be his redeemer. In midst of all this, he is charged for allegiance with Communists in a post-war America ripe with bureaucratic insecurity. Predictably, he laughs off the charges and finds it hard to fathom that he actually could be sentenced for disloyalty. He goes through a roller coaster ride of events that happen at the bat of an eyelid leaving him disoriented and confused, which finally land him in a relatively unknown small town called Lawson. It is here that the film really sets it apart from the predictable path it was on till now.

Majestic Movies presents the great cult classic The Creature from the Black Lagoon in 3D! The Creature, an amphibious, prehistoric man-monster, inhabits the primordial depths of a tropical lagoon undisturbed until scientists intrude upon his domain. Variously interpreted as a monster from hell and a primitive innocent provoked to violence, the Creature belongs to a tradition of misunderstood monsters that include Frankenstein’s monster and King Kong. Science-fiction master Jack Arnold sensitively handles the erotic interplay between the Creature and the beautiful woman he desires. Tickets are $7 per person.

What The Majestic does is insult the likes of Dalton Trumbo. Luke ("Peter"), armed only with the love of a girl and the power of a heartwarming movie behind him, stands up to the Committee. He humiliates them on national TV, and steals a round of applause that belongs to the real hero of the late McCarthy years, Joseph Welch (who said to McCarthy "Have you no sense of decency, sir? At long last, have you left no sense of decency?")
The Majestic-12 papers first came to light in 1984, when a film cassette with photographs of the papers were mailed to Jaime Shandera. At the time, Shandera was not involved with UFO research and was a little known producer of documentaries. So one might be quite curious as why the papers were "leaked" to him, unless you know that one of Shandera's good friends was UFO researcher and author William Moore (see below!). Together with Stanton Friedman, they eventually released the papers some two years later. These papers became cornerstones in several books about Roswell, including Stanton Friedman's Crash at Corona and TOP SECRET/ MAJIK.
