Leora Schaefer - In this workshop participants will look at adolescent diaries from the Holocaust. Salvaged Pages, by Alexandra Zapruder is a collection of diaries that have been translated into English. Participants will read excerpts from the diaries and view clips from an MTV documentary that is based on the book. A lesson will be modeled to demonstrate how these diaries can be used in classroom settings.
