Ironically, this CRS report is not freely available on a government site, but is hosted on the Federation of American Scientists’ CRS reports site. The Congressional Research Service produces reports at the request of members of Congress. They are some of the best research available about the legislative process. Congress cannot prevent the reports from being distributed to the public -- but there is no singular means of public access to these informative and important documents. The Law Librarian Blog and the Project on Government Oversight discuss this issue in greater detail.

USIBC President Ron Somers made opening remarks at the luncheon, thanking USIBC's partner the Federation of Indian Chamber's of Commerce and Industry (FICCI) and praising Secretary Shankar for his "distinguished career in the Indian Administrative Service." The conformance program managed by the Liberty Alliance validates implementations of the Liberty Alliance standards for federated network identity. The program helps vendors, integrators and implementers ensure interoperability between Liberty-enabled solutions. Liberty Alliance will be offering additional conformance events, expanding to include products and services implementing Liberty Alliance's Identity Web Services Framework. Interested parties should contact Liberty Alliance at info@projectliberty.org for logistics and registration information. The program is open to both members and non-members.

The JISC has funded the development of the Federations Gateways by Eduserv to support inter-working between Shibboleth and Athens sites and service providers. The JISC will ... continue funding the Athens service until July 2008 (see JISC Core Middleware Development Programmes).
