1. Wild Cherries -- Fruits
   Wild cherries are found throughout central Idaho. Although the fruits of wild cherry are enjoyed by literally thousands of people every year, there have been a few cases of children being poisoned by eating large number of seeds along with the cherries. Cherry seeds, leaves, bark, and shoots contain cyanide producing compounds. These compounds have caused livestock deaths. Cyanide poisoning initially causes rapid breathing followed by slow and difficult breathing, anxiety, confusion, headache, low blood pressure and rapid heart rate. Convulsions, coma, and death can occur rapidly.

   Dennehy starred in “Death of a Salesman” at the Lyric Theatre, in London’s West End in 2005. He ... starred on Broadway in Brian Friel’s “Translations.” At Chicago’s Goodman Theatre he appeared in leading roles in Robert Falls’ productions of “Long Day’s Journey Into Night,” “Death of a Salesman,” “A Touch of the Poet,” “The Iceman Cometh,” and “Galileo.” He and Falls collaborated again in 1992 for a remounting of “The Iceman Cometh” at the Abbey Theatre in Dublin. Additional theatre credits include Peter Brook’s 1988 production of “The Cherry Orchard” at the Brooklyn Academy of Music’s Majestic Theater; Wisdom Bridge Theatre’s production of “Rat in the Skull” and “Says I, Says He” at the Mark Taper Forum and the Phoenix Theatre in New York.
4. Irene Ryan -- Irene Ryan Scholarship
   Since 1972, the Irene Ryan Foundation of Encino, Calif. has awarded scholarships to the outstanding student performers at each regional festival. Students are represented from Colorado, Iowa, Nebraska, Minnesota, South Dakota, and North Dakota. All student actors in both Participating and Associate productions are eligible for consideration for these $500 regional scholarships.

6. Abbey Theatre -- Lady Gregory
   Abbey Theatre is the fabled home of Ireland's national theater company. In 1904 W.B. Yeats and his patron, Lady Gregory, opened the theater, which became a major center for the Irish literary renaissance -- the place that first staged works by J.M. Synge and Sean O'Casey, among many others. The year 2004 celebrated the 100th anniversary of this landmark theater. Plays by recent Irish drama heavyweights like Brian Friel, Tom Murphy, Hugh Leonard, and John B.    Diane Lane is one of the most respected and talented of today’s Hollywood beauties, possessing an on-screen poise that made Sir Laurence Olivier compare her to a young Grace Kelly when they appeared together in 1979’s “A Little Romance”. The Oscar-nominated star has appeared in a wide variety of celebrated films, and can be seen this fall alongside Ben Affleck and Adrien Brody in the promising murder mystery “Hollywoodland”.

He recreated the role of Willy Loman from the 1998 production of Death of a Salesman at the Goodman Theatre in Chicago. Also at the Goodman he appeared in leading roles in Robert Falls’ productions of Long Days Journey Into Night (2002), A Touch of the Poet (1996), The Iceman Cometh (1990) and Galileo (1986). He and Falls collaborated again in 1992 for a remounting of The Iceman Cometh at the Abbey Theatre in Dublin. Additional theatre credits include Peter Brook’s 1998 production of The Cherry Orchard at the Brooklyn Academy of Music’s Majestic Theatre, the Wisdom Bridge Theatre production of Rat in the Skull, and Says I, Says He at the Mark Taper Forum and the Phoenix Theatre in New York. Recently, Dennehy performed alongside Julia Roberts, Meryl Streep and Tom Hanks in Paul Newman’s The World of Nick Adams at the Kodak Theatre in Los Angeles.
9. Michael Chekhov -- Anton Chekhov
   During his stay at Melikhovo, Chekhov began to publish more frequently in the liberal press, particularly in Russkaya mysl ("Russian Thought") and Russkiye vedemosti ("The Russian Gazette"). His trip to Sakhalin and the publication of a chapter on escapees in late 1891 were admired by left-wing critics and helped to patch up a quarrel between Chekhov and V. M. Lavrov, the editor ofRusskaya mysl . After two years of hesitation over possible censorship, Chekhov sent Lavrov Sakhalin Island, minus the last four chapters, for serialized publication from October, 1893 to July, 1894. The entire work was printed in the journal during 1895. Chekhov's longest piece by far, it was hailed by liberals as a signal contribution to the movement for prison reform. Over the ensuing yearsRusskaya mysl was to publish The Seagull, Tri syostry: Drama v chetyryokh deystviyakh (The Three Sisters: A Drama in Four Acts), and thirteen of Chekhov's finest stories, including Palata No. 6 (Ward Number Six, 1892), in which the irresponsible director of a decrepit insane asylum ends up committed to his own ward. According to W. H. Bruford inAnton Chekhov , Communist leader Vladimir Ilich Lenin, reading the story as an allegorical representation of a repressive society, later wrote, "When I had read this story to the end, I was filled with awe.
10. Into the Woods -- Productions
    Jennifer is delighted to join the cast of Into The Woods, and to be making her Vancouver debut! Most recently, Jennifer portrayed the title role in Anne of Green Gables for the Grand Theatre. Favourite credits: Sophie in Mamma Mia (Original Cast and U.S. National Tour); Liesl in The Sound of Music (Neptune Theatre); Juliet in The Capulets' Ball (Shakespeare in Action); Mary in The Secret Garden (Theatre New Brunswick); Wendy in Peter Pan (Stirling Festival); Lucy in Dracula (Charlottetown Festival); Carolyn in Having Hope at Home (Magnus Theatre); originating the role of Cissy in A Blue Castle; and four years as Anne in Anne of Green Gables for the Charlottetown Festival, for the Atlantic Scene Festival, and in the Broadway Series at The Shubert Theatre, Connecticut. Upcoming, Jennifer plays Emily Middle in the workshop production of The Wonder of It All (Equity Showcase Theatre, Toronto). Jennifer represented Canada at EXPO 2005 in Japan. She filmed a documentary on her life as an artist for the project.
