The Beatles were a British pop and rock group from Liverpool, England. The group shattered many sales records and charted more than 50 top 40 hit singles, including 20 #1 hits in the USA alone, becoming arguably the most famous musical act of the 20th century. EMI Records estimates that the band has sold over a billion records worldwide. The band's songs covered many genres, from ballads to reggae, and from psychedelic music to blues to heavy metal, and opened the door for many new musical styles. The Beatles influence extended beyond music into the social and cultural revolutions of the '60s.

The Beatles (1960-1970) were an English rock group from Liverpool, who were the most critically acclaimed, commercially successful artists of all time. They continue to be held in the highest esteem for their artistic achievements, their huge commercial success, their groundbreaking role in the history of popular music, and their contributions to popular culture. Although their initial musical style was rooted in the sounds of 1950s Rock & Roll, the group explored a great variety of musical styles. The innovative music and style of John Lennon, Paul McCartney, George Harrison, and Ringo Starr helped to define the 1960s.

Ok, so maybe there was no Super Bowl ad announcing a new iPod, but Apple Inc and The Beatles' Apple Corp do have some news to share this morning. Both companies have finally put an end to their bickering over the Apple trademark. Under the agreement, Jobs' Apple "will own all of the trademarks related to "Apple" and will license certain of those trademarks back to Apple Corp for their continued use." The question now is—how soon before the Fab Four make their way to iTunes?

The Beatles had two more appearances on the Sullivan Show via music "videos." The next came on February 12, 1967 with Penny Lane and Strawberry Fields Forever, and the final performance was on February 15, 1970. In this they played Two Of Us, and Let It Be.

The Beatles performed their last concert before paying fans in Candlestick Park in San Francisco on 29 August 1966. From this time until the group dissolved in early 1970 The Beatles concentrated on making some of the most remarkable recorded pop music of the 20th century. The group's compositions and musical experiments raised their artistic reputations while they retained their tremendous popularity. The Beatles' financial fortunes took a turn for the worse... when their manager, Brian Epstein, died in 1967 and the band's affairs began to unravel. The members began to drift apart. Their final live performance was on the roof at the Apple studios in London in January 1969 during the "Get Back" sessions and was featured both on the "Let It Be" album and the "Let It Be" film.

The Beatles began when one of the members, John Lennon formed a skiffle group in 1956 called the Quarry Men in Liverpool, England. They play various events and even auditioned for Television show, but lost out to a midget. In July of 1957 the Quarry Men were playing at St. Peter’s Parish Church, when another young lad by the name of Paul McCartney was introduced to John by a mutual friend. John was so impressed the Paul could play and knew all the lyrics to Eddie Cochran’s “20 Flight Rock” that he immediately asked him to join. Paul had a younger friend who ... played guitar named George Harrison, eventually after filling in with the band every once in awhile he joined up with them in 1958. From here the band continued to play smaller gigs, including playing for George’s brother’s wedding.
