The only thing really missing is the lack of wind and grass. Wind would be helpful to the fans melting in the late summer, early autumn heat. But by November, your glad the wind gusts stay to the outside concourse areas. Seating behind the players benches is very spacious, while seats in the corners and end zones can be a tight squeeze.
A tour of Texas Stadium is a MUST if you are a Dalls Cowboy fan especially since they will be moving after the 2008-09 season (new stadium being built in Arlington). The tour costs approximately $12 per person (not sure about children discounts) and starts at Gate 8.

Dallas Cowboys Texas Stadium Seating Chart Texas Stadium ... has the attraction of being one of the more unusual stadiums in the NFL. Built three decades ago it still is a one of a kind facility. While most stadiums are either domed or open Texas Stadium is both. The seats are covered by a partial roof while the playing field itself is left open. Thus you have the best of both worlds. Get in on the fun at Texas Stadium while you still can. The Dallas Cowboys are slated to move to a new facility in 2009 so the singular atmosphere at Texas Stadium will soon be a thing of the past.

Texas Stadium The fate of Texas Stadium after the Cowboys' departure remains uncertain. The roof, whose worn paint had become unsightly in the early 2000s, was repainted in the summer of 2006 by the City of Irving. It was the first time the famed roof was repainted since Texas Stadium opened. The roof is structurally independent from the stadium it covers. As a tribute to the original Texas Stadium, the new stadium, which is a retractable roof system, will ... include a setting that mimics the hole in the roof.[1]
After over 30 years of existence, Texas Stadium is still one of the NFL’s best stadiums, and one of the most unique stadiums in the league. After several years of playing at the Cotton Bowl, the Dallas Cowboys wanted a new state of the art stadium exclusively for them. After bonds were passed allowing a stadium to be built, construction began in the late 1960’s. The stadium was named after its location, Texas Stadium.
