Mr. Boswell has over 19 years of experience in financial management focused in the energy industry and began his career at Arthur Anderson & Co. and later served in management positions with Price Waterhouse in Houston, Texas. He served as Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of Petroleum Geo-Services ASA ("PGS") from December 1995 until October 2002. PGS grew from a small enterprise in 1994 when Mr. Boswell joined the company to a $1 billion annual revenue enterprise with a peak enterprise value of $6 billion. Subsequent to Mr. Boswell's departure and following a change of control within PGS, the new management of PGS filed for bankruptcy protection in July 2003 in order to restructure PGS's debt portfolio. The restructuring was successfully completed and PGS emerged from bankruptcy in October 2003. In all, during his tenure as CFO at PGS, Mr. Boswell was responsible for financing over $3 billion of capital expenditures.

Texas Instruments was founded by Cecil H. Green, J. Erik Jonsson, Eugene McDermott, and Patrick E. Haggerty. On December 6, 1941, they purchased Geophysical Service Incorporated (GSI), a pioneering provider of seismic exploration services to the petroleum industry. During World War II, GSI built electronics for the U.S. Army Signal Corps and the U.S. Navy. After the war, GSI continued to produce electronics, and in 1951 the company changed its name to Texas Instruments; GSI became a wholly owned subsidiary of the new company. An early success story for TI-GSI came in the 1950s when GSI was able (under a Top Secret government contract) to monitor the Soviet Union's underground nuclear weapons testing from outcrop bedrock found in Oklahoma.

Cogan began his Boeing career as an aerodynamics engineer 1977, after graduating from Texas A&M University with a Bachelor of Science degree in aerospace engineering. During his 30 years with the company, he has served as the chief project engineer for the Sonic Cruiser program and for Boeing 757 programs, overseeing the various engineering disciplines that support the 757 family of airplanes. Prior to that, he held positions devoted to the development and production of the Boeing family of airplanes. These included Interiors Integrated Product Team leader for the 757-300, Crown Systems leader for the 737-600/-700/-800 and senior manager in Payloads for airplane configuration definition and interior certification of all Boeing commercial models.

In the 1960s, Texas began to develop its technology industries as oil became less easy to exploit—even though soaring oil prices in the 1970s caused the energy industry to boom. Since then, the state has become a preferred location for the headquarters of large corporations from airlines and retail chains to telecommunications and chemical companies. High-technology industries have boomed since the 1980s, especially in the Dallas-Fort Worth, Houston, and Austin areas. The state's economy proved still vulnerable to the fluctuations of the energy industry in the mid-1980s... when falling oil prices resulted in massive layoffs, hurting the state's real estate market and in turn precipitating the failure of hundreds of savings and loans in the state.

California , Illinois and Texas are home to the majority of Albertson's stores, with 16 in the Austin area. The company was scheduled to open a store in February at The Shops at Mira Vista shopping center along Bee Cave Rd. in Austin ; ... the grocer and landlord terminated the lease and Albertson's never occupied the store. In 2002, 82 stores shut down in Houston and San Antonio , but many stores remain in central Texas .

Since 1999, Mr. Stubbs, 42, has served as president of Lisa Motor Lines, Inc., a Fort Worth, Texas-based subsidiary of the company. He joined the company's primary operating subsidiary, FFE Transportation Services, Inc., during 1986 as a management trainee upon his graduation from Texas A&M University, and served in various capacities at the company prior to being named president of Lisa Motor Lines.
