Testing for the Public's founder, David M. White, has been immersed in the study of standardized testing for 25 years. A graduate of Harvard Law School, he has published scholarly articles, written legal briefs, and testified before state legislatures. As early as 1979, he testified before the New York State legislature urging passage of "Truth in Testing" legislation that would require admission tests to be made public.

[One] significant issue is the fact that testing, in the main, is solely aimed at identifying illegal drugs. The tests at the Abbey School and the National School were mainly for cannabis, cocaine and heroin. But what of the legal drugs, and the dangers they may pose? Drug tests do not seek out drinkers. Yet alcohol is perhaps the most hazardous drug in youth culture, with more than a quarter of 15-16 year olds binge-drinking, and 15% of 16-24s dependent at some level on alcohol. Thirteen teenagers a day are hospitalised either for alcohol poisoning or from injuring themselves while drunk.
At the same time, RxHub announced the signing of an agreement with Allscripts Healthcare Solutions (Nasdaq: MDRX) of Chicago, IL, for continued participation in the testing program. Allscripts currently generates an average of 5,000 transactions per day.
Black box testing treats the software as a black-box without any understanding as to how the internals behave. It aims to test the functionality according to the requirements.[18] Thus, the tester inputs data and only sees the output from the test object. This level of testing usually requires thorough test cases to be provided to the tester who then can simply verify that for a given input, the output value (or behaviour), is the same as the expected value specified in the test case.
The current method of routinely performing post-slaughter testing of each carcass at the slaughterhouse by artificial digestion is costly and relatively insensitive. The new PrioCHECK(R) Trichinella Ab ELISA test has proven significantly more reliable and highly sensitive as well as specific for the detection of antibodies against Trichinella in serum and meat juice samples of pigs. The assay detects Trichinella spp. in infected pigs with a larval load of 0.02 larva/g pig meat. The PrioCHECK(R)Trichinella Ab is highly specific as it shows no cross-reactivity with other commonly found pig parasites such as Ascaris, Trichuris, Hyostrongylus, or Strongyloides.

The test is harder to cheat because it provides a longer view of drug behavior, up to three months, making it ideal for pre-employment testing. New York City's police department detected five times the number of drug users among its recruits with hair tests than it did with urine tests, and at 30 times the rate among probationary officers. After switching to hair tests last year, Boston's police department reported finding 23 drug users on its force that urinalysis had missed.
