Templates are the files which control how your WordPress site will be displayed on the Web. These files draw information from your WordPress MySQL database and generate the HTML code which is sent to the web browser. Through its powerful Theme system, WordPress allows you to define as few or as many Templates as you like all under one Theme. Each of these Template files can be configured for use under specific situations. More information on creating Themes can be found at Theme Development.
Templates are of great utility to programmers in C++, especially when combined with multiple inheritance and operator overloading. The C++ Standard Template Library (STL) provides many useful functions within a framework of connected templates.
Templates validate to W3C standards. Primarily designed for Dreamweaver and Fireworks, but not limited to this software. Use the templates straight out of the box or use the supplied png and style sheet to customize to suit your style. An Australian firm.
Templates are limited to 32K bytes of HTML. Note that this does not include images. You may use as many images as you would like. The limit is only for the HTML part of the page template, not the entire size of the resulting page.

The following table lists the URL actions and default URL policy settings for each of the five security zone templates, as of Internet Explorer 7. Descriptions for the URL Action Flag constants in the following tables can be found at URL Action Flags. Descriptions for the URL Policy Flag constants can be found at URL Policy Flags. Note: URL policy flag names have been shortened in the table below to enhance readability.
There are three primary drawbacks to the use of templates. First, many compilers historically have very poor support for templates, so the use of templates can make code somewhat less portable. Second, almost all compilers produce confusing, unhelpful error messages when errors are detected in template code. This can make templates difficult to develop. Third, each use of a template may cause the compiler to generate extra code (an instantiation of the template), so the indiscriminate use of templates can lead to code bloat, resulting in excessively large executables.
